01 Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using XpenseAIQ ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the App. These Terms apply to all users of the App.
02 Description of Service
XpenseAIQ is a local-first, AI-powered expense tracking app. All expense data is stored and processed on your own device — Jicama does not collect or store your financial data.
The App allows you to:
- Scan and extract data from receipts using AI image recognition.
- Track, categorise, and manage personal and business expenses locally on your device.
- Generate analytics, insights, and export reports.
- Optionally sync your data to your own Google Drive account.
- Use an AI chat assistant for expense-related queries.
03 Account Registration
- You must sign in using a valid Google account.
- You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Google account credentials.
- You must provide accurate information and keep it up to date.
- You must be at least 13 years old to use the App.
- One person may not maintain more than one free account.
04 Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the App for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any regulations.
- Upload content that is fraudulent, defamatory, or infringes third-party rights.
- Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or tamper with the App.
- Use automated scripts or bots to access the App.
- Resell or sublicense access to the App without written permission.
- Use the App to process highly sensitive personal data beyond what is necessary for expense tracking.
05 AI Accuracy Disclaimer
XpenseAIQ uses artificial intelligence to extract data from receipts. While we strive for accuracy, AI extraction is not perfect:
- Extracted amounts, dates, vendors, and categories may contain errors.
- You are responsible for reviewing and verifying all extracted data before relying on it for financial, tax, or accounting purposes.
- Jicama is not liable for any financial decisions made based on AI-extracted data.
- The AI chat assistant provides general guidance only and does not constitute financial or tax advice.
06 Data Ownership
- You retain full ownership of all expense data, receipts, and financial information you create in the App.
- Since XpenseAIQ is a local-first app, your expense data is stored only on your device. Jicama does not store, access, or claim any rights over your expense or financial data.
- The only data held by Jicama is your authentication information (name and email from Google Sign-In), used solely for account access and subscription management.
- Upon account deletion, we will remove your authentication data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
07 Google Drive Integration
- Google Drive sync is optional and requires explicit authorisation from you.
- We access only the XpenseAIQ folder within your Drive.
- We do not access, read, or modify any other files in your Google Drive.
- You can revoke Drive access at any time through Google Account settings or within the app.
- Google's Terms of Service and Privacy Policy apply to your use of Google Drive.
08 Subscription Plans & Payments
- XpenseAIQ offers both a free tier and paid subscription plans.
- Free tier features and limits are subject to change with reasonable notice.
- Paid subscriptions are billed monthly or annually as selected.
- Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled before the renewal date.
- Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis — contact support@jicama.tech within 7 days of a charge.
- We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice to existing subscribers.
09 Service Availability
- We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access to the App.
- Scheduled maintenance, updates, or unexpected outages may temporarily affect availability.
- We are not liable for any losses resulting from App downtime or interruptions.
10 Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:
- The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
- Jicama is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App.
- Our total liability to you for any claims shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
11 Termination
- You may delete your account at any time by contacting support@jicama.tech.
- We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, with or without notice.
- Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases immediately.
- Data deletion will follow our Privacy Policy retention schedule.
12 Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via in-app notification or email. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
13 Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Australia. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Australia.
